Discipline

A good friend of mine (Pauletta Kaufman) is working on a new business idea and asked if I could be on her daily emails called Pauletta’s Daily Message. This month’s topic has been about “Discipline”. Every day I get an email that pertains to Discipline and it got me thinking.

How am I disciplined?

I think the most notably disciplined thing I do is being Organized. I’m a freak about being Organized which helps me accomplish more than the norm. Just yesterday, Chris McCormack was over (Yes, Ironman World Champion) and he was asking how I get so much done and so I showed him. I went into my office and showed him my filling system for all my businesses. All my files are designed like a P&L statement and at the end of each year all I have to do is pull all my statements out of each folder and box them up for storage so I can start a new year. I think if you want to have a very productive and efficient life get Organized and you’ll be ahead of everyone else.

Disciplined = Organized = Productive…what are you waiting for?

Paul’s Tip of the day: If you have a business and you’re NOT using a bookkeeper, stop what you’re doing and go get one NOW. You’ll thank me later.

Attitude

2008 is starting off to be an incredible year so far. My vision of becoming a public speaker is becoming a reality. I’m listening to my own advice about having the right Attitude and sure enough everything is falling in place. I’m speaking February 5th at the Santa Monica Library and I’m hosting my Launch Party for Paulsitive.com on February 7th. I’ve been visualizing this everyday for the past few months. Remember, what you Visualize you’ll Materialize. Part of my attitude for 2008 is “No one can stop me”. This is what I’m taking on as a way of being.

What Attitude are you going to take on for 2008?

Simple Choices Paulsitive Results

This one's funny because it was so simple and yet was right in front of me for such a long time. I was sitting at my desk when I noticed bills stacking up and noticed what bad energy it was creating. I opened my drawer and cleaned it out to make room for all my bills. Then I replaced the bill on my desk with positive things that were going on in my life. I had a post card from my friend Jordan Adler who is writing a book called "Beach Money". It's about creating a life where you literally work from the beach, I have a few friends that are starting different companies and I have their brochures on my desk. Lastly, I hung a photo of a house (so that I could see it every day) that I wanted our house to look like after we remodeled ours. In the end, I controlled the energy in room by making a simple choice and I chose no bills. It's that simple!

Remember you always have Choices! Paul

Ps, Don't forget to pay your bills. :)

Rocker Time!

Last week I found a baby rocking chair in an alley that someone had thrown out so I stopped and grabbed it because it would be perfect for Lucas if I sanded down the frame and put a new cushion on it. Once I got the frame sanded down I was looking for a piece of wood in my garage to replace the seat of the rocker and was about to give up when the whole time the solution was right in front of me. Why not take the old cushion frame and clean it up and use it. Sometimes what you’re looking for is right in front of you the whole time. I laughed when I figured out the solution was there the whole time. End the end, Lucas got an awesome refurbished Rocker and was super excided when he got it.
